What happen with most of the guys? Today they seem to be making a statement that from tomorrow, they will be doing exercise and eating healthy food only. Tomorrow, they will delay it for the next day. Such people are not much serious about losing weight. If you are serious about losing weight, then start making efforts from today. You know even small steps towards your goal of losing weight can be really helpful.
What we have to do is make some permanent changes in our eating habits and life style so that we do not get back the weight we are able to loss by making too many efforts.
One thing we must remember that we have not gained this weight in few days or few months. It may have taken year or so for our body to store that much high amount of fat. So losing 1 pound in a week is a good idea but we need to be more regular with our efforts about losing extra pounds. If we are able to lose 1 pound in a week, we will be able to lose more than 60 pound in a year. Losing 60 pounds in a year is not a small achievement by any means.
We need to keep discipline with our eating habits if we really want to get long-term weight loss benefits. By adopting good eating habits we are not only going to get rid of weight, but also going to be free from many other diseases like Hypertension and Diabetes. Weight loss diet pills are not going to help us in the long run, they can be effective in the short term only.
Eating healthy food and not eating less is the best way to lose weight. The diets that are low in calorie density can help people to control their hunger and also helps them to lose their extra weight. Low calorie density food are those that are having high amount of water and lower amount of fat like fruits, vegetables, soup, lean meat and low fat diary products. So by eating such healthy foods, we will be able to satisfy our hunger more and also be able to eat lesser calorie per bite.
Make a list of healthy food items you have to shop and do not purchase any thing that is not in your list. Take some salads with your meals. And when you get some noticeable drop in your weight, it should motivate you. But the final goal must be realistic and achievable. And do not try to lose your weight too fast. Weight loss of around 4 to 5 pounds in a month is completely sufficient.
You do not want to lose weight for a while; you want to lose it forever.
